Warehouse checked
What "warehouse checked" means on Taily
Stock that passes through a Taily warehouse is counted and condition-checked on arrival, and every movement is recorded. Items a vendor ships directly are not warehouse inspected — the order page always shows which warehouse an order is fulfilled from.
1. Vendor sends stock
An approved vendor records a stock transfer to a Taily warehouse with the product, quantity and expected arrival date.
2. Warehouse counts it in
Warehouse staff record what actually arrived against what was expected — accepted, rejected and damaged units are counted separately.
3. Discrepancies are recorded
Short counts and damaged units are written into a stock receipt, the vendor is notified, and only accepted units become sellable.
4. Inventory prepared
Accepted stock is added to warehouse inventory with a stock movement, so every unit can be traced back to the receipt it came from.
5. Your order is picked and packed
When you order, staff pick from that same inventory, pack it, and mark it ready — each step timestamped.
6. Returns are inspected
Returned items are inspected before anything goes back on sale. Damaged or non-restockable items never re-enter sellable stock.
